K-grade Ductile Iron Pipe for Water Supply

K-grade Ductile Iron Pipe for Water Supply

K-grade ductile iron pipe is high-speed centrifugally cast pipe by centrifugal ductile iron machine. It is mainly used for water supply and tap water transportation project. The GB/T 13295 standard- Ductile iron pipes, fittings and accessories for water or gas applications indicates that ductile iron pipes normal wall thickness is designed by K-grade, which is widely known in the world. Moreover, K9-grade is the common ductile iron pipe wall thickness.
K-grade ductile iron pipe is developed on grey cast iron pipe. Through the spheroidizing and annealing process, the mechanical properties of cast iron are greatly improved. Below is the properties contrast of ductile iron pipe, grey cast iron pipe and steel pipes.
