ASTM A297 HC cast material is heat resistant alloy steel casting, similar to UNS S92605. A297 HC (UNS S92605) alloy castings are intended for particularly severe corrosive applications.
A297 HC (UNS S92605) heat resistant alloy castings have a good amount of chromium for good oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 2000 F (1093 C). Low nickel content to maintain greater resistance to sulphur bearing environments at 2000 F (1093 C).
