2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Pump Cover

2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Pump Cover

2205 duplex stainless steel pump cover is a new product successfully researched and developed in 2000. 2205 duplex stainless steel is a nitrogen-added duplex stainless steel (referred to as 2205 duplex steel), and duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy is made of 21% chromium, 2.5%. Duplex stainless steel consisting of molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloy.
At present, we can supply 2205 stainless steel product types include 2205 duplex stainless steel pump covers, forgings, pipe fittings and strips. Early duplex stainless steels were resistant to moderate to moderate corrosion and chlorine stress corrosion cracking, but their performance was greatly reduced when used in the case of soldering. In order to improve this situation, nitrogen is added to the duplex stainless steel 2205, which not only improves the corrosion resistance, but also uses the welding well. Due to the special performance characteristics of 2205 duplex steel, it has a wide range of applications and has been used in a large number.
In the temperature range of -50 degrees to 280 degrees, duplex stainless steel has good mechanical properties. When the duplex steel is subjected to high temperature of more than 300 degrees for a long time, the microstructure of the microstructure changes and the content of the austenitic steel is compared. Dual-phase steel and duplex steel base materials have centripetal resistance to pitting and crack corrosion, but generally have the ability to resist corrosion and corrosion of organic acids. It is well known in the industry to express pitting resistance levels in accordance with the pitting resistance equivalent value PREN.
Mechanical Machinability
On high-speed machines, the feed rate and cutting speed of the 2205 alloy are the same as those of the 316L. If a carbonized knife is used, the cutting speed is reduced by approximately 20% compared to 316L, and the performance of the machine and its components plays a key role here.
Heat Treatment Performance
The 2205 alloy should be annealed at a low temperature of 1900 °F and then rapidly cooled for water quenching. This treatment is applied to solution annealing and stress relief. The stress relieving treatment, such as being carried out at a temperature lower than 1900 °F, tends to cause precipitation of harmful metal or non-metal phases.
